It is the first morning on Dønna. I arrived in Mosjøen yesterday evening to be greeted by snow capped mountains, beautifully clear skies and a very bright moon. Still a long drive to Dønna which included various tunnels through mountains (including a 10 km long one) and a ferry ride.
I am now safely ensconced in a lovely house which will be my base until I'm a bit more settled and then I'll find somewhere of my own.
I had a lovely evening of (non-alcoholic) beer and pizza with a few new friends before what I felt was a well deserved sleep.
Today's plans include picking up a car and visiting some of the churches and my offices.
